Hey, the offensive linemen are the biggest guys on the field, they’re bigger than everybody else, and that’s what makes them the biggest guys on the field. -John Madden
No, Pat, my Mac doesn't have Office because I didn't want to pay over $100 for it. I do have a spreadsheet program though. I think that you think Macs can't run spreadsheets or Microsoft Office. I have no idea why you would think that.
Well, there are definitely things that I don't like about Macs (mainly that they are different from PCs, and I hate having to relearn things, and don't give me that crap about how "every thing on a mac just make sense"), but mostly I don't like mac users. ;-) (present company excluded of course)
I don't like that people go from their first computer, a $500 piece of crap VAIO to a $1500 or $2000 mac, and then rave about how much better the mac is. Of course its better, it's 3 times the computer. (Well actually it's only 2x the computer and then the other 500 bucks pays for all the advertising to convince you it's better.)
There are absolutely things that macs do better than PCs. But most of the things that macs do better (audio visual stuff for one), I couldn't care less about. I like having a computer that when I need to run a program, it runs it. I don't have to worry about "is this pc compatible" because every program in the world is pc compatible (even iPhone apps).
Oh yeah John, I forgot that in the list of responsibilities for being in this league, it says you don't have to do it. You know, that official list that they made for everyone, I forgot that that was MY responsibility.
Josh, I completely see your point and I agree that PCs still serve a very good purpose. I still find myself wanting one at times. I like Apple as a company in general. I like the ideas and innovations they come up with and how they simplify a lot of different things. But for me, the main advantage of the Mac is the OS. Yes, I like the hardware, but I like the OS far better than Windows and I would be fine to run it on different hardware if I could. I've heard Windows 7 is supposed to be pretty good though...
Being in politics is like being a football coach. You have to be smart enough to understand the game, and dumb enough to think it's important. -Eugene McCarthy
Josh complained about it in a comment on one of the previous entries.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the tie breaker since there was a tie for most interceptions??
John, I posted that in a previous post too. Interceptions tie is broken by most tackles.
ReplyDeleteWell I can't look back at previous posts except for the last five!! Is there a way we can change that?
ReplyDeleteYou should make another spreadsheet that shows every weeks categories and who won. It'd be fun to see them all next to each other.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I've thought of doing that. But now I have a lot less time. We'll see though, I can see it happening...
ReplyDeleteOr YOU could do that John... doesn't your Mac have Office?
ReplyDeleteBy the way John, I added a Blog Archive right under the Recent Comments section...

ReplyDeleteI can't make spreadsheets or right click on my mac, but their commercials sure are funny.
ReplyDeleteJohn just likes macs so much because he can use the goofy camera on it to take pictures that make him look skinny.
You CAN right click on a Mac.
ReplyDeleteJohn, I was aware that Mac's run Office. I am also aware that Office is relatively expensive, though $100 is usually a pretty good deal.
ReplyDeleteI was actually serious... why don't you create the spreadsheet?
It's not my job! And it's easier for you to keep up-to-date since you're already managing the categories.
ReplyDeleteLol, I love how defensive Johnny gets about his mac whenever someone picks on it.
ReplyDeleteI only get that way with Pat. He always talks trash about them though he's never really used them. I used to do that though too.
ReplyDeleteI always talk trash about them *BECAUSE* I've used them.
ReplyDeleteWhat don't you like about them?

ReplyDeleteI'll do it though, anyway.
Haha, thanks Pat.
